STARTING TIPS

Parts can be more easily removed from the sheet using a pair of clippers.

A pair of tweezers or needle nose pliers are highly recommended during assembly. (More infomation about tools below)

Plan out and understand how the parts will come together. Folding any piece back and forth along a fold line more than 2 times will cause the piece to weaken and/or break. Be sure to use a gentle touch.

Parts lock together using tabs and holes. Pay close attention to the and ▲ symbols:

A represents a tab that should be folded 90°.
A ▲ represents a tab that should be twisted 90°.

WHAT DO THE SKILL LEVELS MEAN?

Choose a model that corresponds to the level you feel you are at.
Each package of Metal Earth and ICONX gives an indication as to how challenging a model is to build.

EASY

Beginner
Features: Full play value, de-gated pieces.
Build time: Up to 1 hour.

MODERATE

Semi-Casual builder
Features: More pieces, larger scale.
Build time: Up to 2 hours.

CHALLENGING

Casual builder
Features: 100+ pieces.
Build time: 3+ hours.

EXPERT

Experienced hobbyist
Features: 120+ pieces.
Build time: 5+ hours.

RECOMMENDED TOOLS

NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS

Used to hold parts plus bend and twist tabs but can reach places in which the flat nose pliers do not fit.

FLAT NOSE PLIERS

Used to hold parts securely and create tight connections by pulling and twisting tabs.

CLIPPER

Great for cutting pieces from the metal sheet. Eliminates the need to remove each piece by bending back and forth.

TWEEZERS

Ideal for handling small pieces. Provide you excellent accuracy and handling pieces little bit easier.
